As a stand-up board, this is really built for a much lighter person. For someone of my bulk (205), it is really a boogie board, and excels in that regard. I got this for my teenage daughter. She has only surfed a dozen or so times. It was the perfect gift. Light weight, great color, and the price was so much less then others with the same name. I am so glad I got it
